AQUACULTURED TOXIC GREEN STAR POLYP (GSP) BRIARIUM
This ultra bright and dainty variety of GSP (Green Star Polyp) is in the genus Briarium. It is so incredibly bright in real life, that we were considering describing it as Toxic. GSP is a comparatively easy coral to grow, but requires at least moderate light and flow, and will benefit from regular doses of iodide and a liquid, direct uptake form of amino acid or live phytoplankton (as with any soft tissue corals).
This GSP was originally traded to us from a staff member who sourced it from UCA (Ultra Corals Australia). It hasn't come up as a wild piece very often, especially amongst QLD collectors, and doesn't seem to frow as quickly as Pachyclavularia types of GSP, which furthermore makes it highly desirable for both Octocoral and Mixed Reef enthusiasts.
Frags are all genetically identical captive grown clones of the pictured piece. As it grows slower for us, we typically don't have this one as readily available as the others.
