AQUACULTURED RED MONTIPORA DANAE FRAG

In ten years, we haven't ever seen or sold a proper red coloured Montipora danae. This is NOT orange - It's NOT Phoenix or Bubblegum danae. We have been experimenting with captive conditions and have found the redness intensifies with lower light. In 150+ PAR the red tissue goes a little pale which can present a bit more pink. Returning the paler frags into a shaded spot causes the red to return. 

Montipora danae is one of the rarest and most slow growing Montipora Australia has to offer. This piece was originally collected along the QLD North coast.
